Securly Support

Securly

MSAD75 is moving to a new content filter system, Securly. This system will give us the flexibility of more specialized filtering of users and groups. Since there will be some technical changes to ensure the filtering works properly, we've created this support site to help users with the transition.

Frequently Asked Questions:
I use a Windows computer for work here in the district. Do I need to install any software for Securly to Work?
District-owned windows computers already have the Securly certificate(s) installed. So you shouldn't need to install anything further to use the internet.

I use an MLTI MacBook for work here in the district. Do I need to install any software for Securly to work?
MLTI devices already have the Securly certificate installed. So using Chrome and Safari should work fine. If you have internet issues, your MacBook may not be properly enrolled in our management software. Please email [email protected] for assistance.

I use a Chromebook for work here in the district. Do I need to install any software for Securly to Work?
District-owned Chromebooks already have the Securly certificate(s) installed. So you shouldn't need to install anything further to use the internet.

I have a personal computer that I need to use on the district network. How can I use it with Securly?
MSAD#75 School Board Policy states that all personally owned devices must be inspected by the technology department before they can be used on the district network. (Click here for more information.) Users will then be given instructions on how to manually install Securly certificates on their personal devices. Please email Helpdesk to register your personal device.

I want to use Firefox with my MLTI Macbook. Will Firefox work with Securly?

Firefox can be used with Securly, but it requires a separate certificate install. We've created an install package that's available in Self Service.
(Please note: This Firefox package installs a new version of Firefox, which deletes all user bookmarks and preferences. Please back up your bookmarks before installing this package!)

How do guest users access the internet with Securly?
Guests to MSAD#75 should contact the Technology department, or the Learning Commons staff of specific schools, for instructions on using the district's internet resources as a guest.
