What is the strangest job that you’ve ever had?
Working as a deckhand/waterfront crew at a summer resort. There were many unglamorous parts to the job like washing down boats and pumping gas, but there were a few times I got to help moor some million dollar yachts.

If you could switch jobs with anyone in the world, who would it be and why?

I would love to be a professional runner for the day, on a big race day. I think it would be fun and challenging to experience racing a marathon as a pro.

If you had some free time, how would you spend it? I would spend it hiking with my family.

What does a typical day at MAMS look like for you?

A typical day starts with lesson planning and preparation before school, then spending time in advisory with students and getting them ready for their day. I support classes in the morning, have meetings and planning during prep time, and spend my afternoon in my classroom teaching math and language arts.

What do you love about middle school?
I love working with 6th graders. They are at a great age to start to take more ownership in their own learning and have so much enthusiasm to get to know new people and try new things. I also love the teachers on my team who go above and beyond for the students and each other.
